Beautifully Patinated Wabi Sabi Vase with Hand Painted Floral Decoration Early 20th Century
This is a truly beautiful heavily patinated vase with wonderful hand painted decoration, made somewhere in the early part of the 20th century.
It comes most certainly from eastern Europe, where this kind of terracotta vases with floral decoration were made in the early 20th century. Although the hand painted floral decoration is wonderfully done, the real charm of this vase comes from the heavily patinated surface. The patination adds a different layer of decoration which is entirely unique, making this a desirable wabi sabi object. The perfection of the imperfection really shines with this piece.
